How this is made
A short note with two ideas, written for one reader at a time.
Your interests
You start with a few interests. They, and anything you tell me back, decide what each issue looks for.
Research
Claude searches the web for each issue: recent work, papers and books, and ideas from neighbouring fields. It skips ideas you have already had.
Sources
Each item is written from the sources found for it, and their domains are listed under it. "Go deeper with Claude" opens a conversation with those links.
The editor
Claude drafts both items under rules I wrote. Before an issue goes out, automatic checks confirm its sources load, it stays short and it repeats nothing you have read lately. I am Josh: I review every issue the checks stop, and I read every reply.
What is kept
- Your name, email address and interests, the issues sent to you, and feedback you give.
- Your interests go to Anthropic's API to write your issue.
- No open pixel. I don't know whether you open an email.
- Links pass through a redirect here that counts clicks per link.
- No access to your inbox, calendar or anything else of yours.
- Hosted in the EU and sent through eml.dev, an EU email service.
- "Manage subscription" in every email unsubscribes you and deletes your data.
